Phone contacts ---> Google contacts

Is there an easy way to change phone contacts to Google contacts?

Once the contact is made the option to choose is greyed out ie. not accessible.

Maybe there is another way to copy a list of contacts to Google contacts? Export the list and import in Google?

I have tried different ways but have not found an easy foolproof way to do this. I have no problem copying 3 contacts by hand, but over 300 is a bit too much.

Export all phone contacts as vcf-File. Delete the phone contacts throught MPE and sync. Then import the previous file again, ensure that the setting "Add new contacts to..." in the client is set to Google. And now do a last sync to create the imported contacts on the phone again (this time inside the Google account)
