also, when intercepting a text, so it appears on the computer, when the phone is plugged in via the usb cable (i have a k800i), the phone is left on the My Shortcuts menu after the text is recieved on the computer screen. just another point.
thanks for a brilliant program by the way

just to clarify, sometimes when the message is recieved, it appears on the computer, and on the phone screen it also appears. sometimes, also, it appears on the computer screen and the phone screen is left on the my shortcuts menu. i would expect the phone screen to stay on standby as you would not want to read the message on the computer and then the phone.

When typing a message and then recieving one at the same time, especially if xxx reply, the message that was being typed is lost, as there can only be one new message window. The message window should be created on recieving/opening it, therefore allowing more than one window, to work on more then one sms at once.
I have just been adding some videos to my 5 K750i's (our household loves this phone so we got one each). Each time I disconnect one phone and connect another Windows XP seems to give a different COM port number. Would it be possible in the F1 Connect option to add a tick box to add "auto-search for device when connecting". This would save me having to F2 Options -> Search Device, F1.
While it may seem trivial for me to do, the real reason I ask is because I want to teach my kids to use this program for their phone so the easier for them the better.
My details
Phone model: Sony Ericsson K750i
Type of connection: USB
MyPhoneExplorer version: 1.5.7
Windows version: Windows XP Home + SP2
Firmware version: Unknown
Cheers

Sync is not possible but Quickimport:
- open the file general.ini (the one in the database-folder)
- create a new line directly under [Main]
- 'Organizer_Standardfile=http://www.google.com/....../basic.ics' use the link to your calendar
- After a restart you'll find a new button in the toolbar of the Organizer in MyPhoneExplorer

Hi DarrenD
You mention an auto-search facility for whenever a phone is connected, but MPE appears to auto-store each correct COM port per phone that connects already. It appears to be thanx to the new and better profiles facility.
ie, I have a T39m, a K608i and a K610i, and each connects via a different COM port. As each has its own profile, when I have been using the K608i and been connected on BT via COM8, when I choose the K610i and connect, it automatically connects via COM7 (again on BT in this instance) as the profile remembers the associated COM port which I used the last time.
The only time I can think of that wouldn't work, is if I then chose to connect the K608i via IR instead - then I need to manually select a different port. Not sure why you would experience anything different. Hope this advice helps and you find it does actualyl work.

Hi! First of all I'd like to thank the author(s) of this great program. It is much better than any other program for SE that I've tried. I used to own K700i and now I own K750i, and there are no problems with these mobiles, at least not for me. My wife has a K310i and we tried to enter birth dates in Contacts using MPE, but no success. It seems that MPE doesn't support birth dates for this phone, although the phone does have this feature. Please include this feature for K310i in this great program. Thanks.
Thanks for this information, i will enable it in the next update.
You can do it yourself, please read this FAQ: http://www.fjsoft.at/forum/viewtopic.php?t=373
Its german, but i think you'll find out how it works

First I'd just like to say you have a great program here.
What I'd like to see when editing the holidayfiles, is being able to add a holiday date on a certain day of the week closest to a set date.
For example, my regional anniversary falls on the Monday closest to the 1st of February (which happens to be the 29th of January this year)
Keep up the good work

@chrix: I'll think about this feature
@Gast: Its already possible, in your case '0102 -1 MO' should work, please read the introduction to holidays.

Windows drag/drop file support
please could you add drag/drop support in the files section. this would make it easier for me to move files to/from the phone without having to use the file open dialogs.
