Disable confirmation window when syncing notes doesn't work

Hello,

I go to File > Settings > Sync > Notes > [Sticky Notes as sync target] > Advanced and uncheck "Show confirmation window before MyPhoneExplorer makes any changes".

Still a confirmation window shows up every time a change is being made to the notes.

This only applies to my Sticky Notes <-> phone notes sync. Contact and calendar sync is not showing any confirmation window.

Everything is on auto on MyPhoneExplorer startup in my setup. I sync up to multiple times daily. Since there is no hotkey to confirm changes, this problem really slows down my sync process.

I tried it several times and it works on my PC, the confirmation window does not apear if unchecked. Does it make a diffrence if the sync was launched automatically or manually ?

I've tried both, and it does not make a difference.

Furthermore, I've tried

• enabling confirmation window, syncing, and then disabling again,
• using force Sticky Notes -> phone instead of sync both and
• changing the language of MyPhoneExplorer to fit my system language (Norwegian).

In spite of this, the problem persists.

Are you sure you've done the same as me? Using Windows 7, sync both and syncing with Windows' own software Sticky Notes, not the internal notes of MPE?

Can this be a registry issue?

Yes, i tried it exactly as you tried with the windows StickyNotes Software. It must be something very basic we did not see cause you would be the first one with this kind of problem. Can you confirm that the confirmation window does show the notes ? Maybe you sync also Calendar / Phonebook and the window appears for this type of data.

I've created a video where I show you the problem. In the video I uncheck confirmation window options for calendar, phonebook and notes and I press OK on all dialog boxes so my settings are saved. Then I run multi-sync, but the problem persists.

I also think it should've been something basic, but after doing this multiple times and now even creating a video for all to see, I just can't see what I'm doing wrong?

Unbelievable. Tried exactly the same and i still cannot reproduce the problem. Please download the current beta, maybe it was a side effect which disappeared now: http://www.fjsoft.at/files/MyPhoneExplo ... Update.exe

If the problem still exists thenm please send me the logfile after sync and the file settings.dat which is located in %appdata%\MyPhoneExplorer\<profile>\settings.dat via email

FJ fixed the bug in the last nightly build of the program. Problem solved.

This is better support than many major software companies would have given me for paid software. Small, symbolic donation given in return. MPE is my friend.
