Is it possible, that received SMS got marked as read after reading them in MyPhoneExplorer? Have to say that i have the stock SMS client uninstalled, using GO SMS only. |

The default behaviour in the Android client prior to version 1.0.18 was that all SMS messages were marked as read in the phone when the PC downloaded them, then any new ones were marked as unread on the PC until you read them OR until you ran download again when they were no longer seen as new messages and were marked read whether you had or not. This wasn't ideal but I could work round it.
Now using the 1.0.18 client messages never seem to be marked as read in the phone and each time you download to the PC they are marked as unread again - this is a nightmare!! I've received a lot of txt messages recently and having read them on the PC I now have to go through each one on the phone as well, otherwise next time I connect the phone they all become unread again - and I can't see which are really new and which are just old ones which I've already read once.
Can we revert back to the pre 1.0.18 behaviour please? |

Many users did not like that MPE did mark them as read. F.e. when the phone is connecte dthe whole day to PC and nobody is sitting there then the users did miss new messages.
The behaviour was changed in 1.0.18, but there will be also a change in the next PC-Version. If the message is read then on PC then MyPhoneExplorer will send a signal to the phone so that it gets marked as read also on the phone. |

Do you know when this new PC version will be available as I agree this is a problem for me. I use mpe for work and my phone reminds me of messages when I have already read then on mpe. |

Will check the Beta out. perhaps you can give an option to choose between those two different behaviors. |

I've tried the beta and the behaviour is much, much better. Seems to be a few problems though - for example if I receive two messages then read one of them it gets marked as read on PC and phone, if I then download messages again before reading the other then it doesn't ever get marked as read unless I read it on the phone.
Understand it is beta so this kind of problem is to be expected but thought you might like to know. |

Still not working fully for me with the beta. If I read a SMS on MPE it does not get marked as read on the phone, however, if I reply to one, it does get marked as read. Am I missing something here? |

As long as the message is listed as "unread" in MyPhoneExplorer it gets not marked as read on the phone (it is unread when the font is bold in MyPhoneExplorer)
The phone can be marked as read multiple when you rightclick the message(s) and select "Mark as read" or when you doubleclick the message, or when you answer the message or when you click "OK" in the notifications window... |

This does not seem to be happening on my I9100
If I open a message from the notification area, then click ok, the message gets marked as read on the PC, but the message does not get marked unread on the phone.
MPE 1.8.2 nightly 23/5/2012
client 1.0.18 (also tried 1.0.19 beta 4)
the old client 1.0.17 worked fine |

using 01-Jun nightly build (Beta). Seems like every alternate message remains unmarked while reading messages in the Inbox view. However, double xxx on the unread messages successfully marks these as 'Read'. |
