Syncing contacts with Outlook 2010

Trying to find something to sync contacts with my samsumg SG2 LTE and outlook.

The Samsung App is a waste of time.

How does MPE handle updating contacts?

Does MPE update contacts on either PC and Phone with newest info or just it just erase and replace the entire contact?

For example if I have a contact and I change their mobile number on the phone and then change their home number on my PC will MPE update both to the new numbers?

OK, Tried a couple of times and MPE does NOT sync anything it merely replaces one set of contact information with the other.

I made a dummy contact on the phone and synced. Contact appeared in Outlook2010. Good

I then added a home number on my PC and a Moblie number on the Phone to this Contact.

The info on my PC was erased with the info from the Phone.

Yes I had it set to Sync both ways.

How do I get it to SYNC properly?

Since the phone database has no "Last edited timestamp" field MyPhoneExplorer will use the phones version if it was edited since the last sync and the outlook version if it was edited since the last sync. In case of both items edited Outlook has the higher priority
