How can I filter which Outlook contacts are synced to my Android phone by MyPhoneExplorer?

Is there some way that I can tell MyPhoneExplorer to sync only contacts that have something in the IM field? If not, is there something else I can set in my Outlook contacts to have MyPhoneExplorer select those contacts for sync?

Is there no other way? That means that everytime I search for a contact in Outlook, I have to do two searches--one in each folder.

So you're saying there is no filtering on sync operations?

The "separate" folder is a sub-folder of the main "Contacts" folder so a search will include it anyway. Just make sure you go into the new sub-folders properties and under the 'Outlook Address Book' tab check 'Show this folder as an e-mail address book'.

And when you do your MPE settings, ensure that you choose the correct folders to sync with the phone.

You can also set up category based exceptions in the sync-settings for Outlook in MyPhoneExplorer
