Hi there, I've noticed that when sending SMSs with MPE, after sending messages I get a baloon tip showing the delivery receipt even though my phone isn't configured to get back delivery receipts.
Is it MPE sending SMS with some particular options?
Every newer phone can send delivery requests, only the T610 and earlier phones doesn't support this. Look in the advandged settings of the phone or before sending a message. Its a littlebit hidden, but you should find it.
While Delivery Receipts are delivered to MPE, why is it that they aren't processed by the handset as a normal delivery receipt would be? I would have guessed its exactly the same flag, but seems not if MPE handles a delivery receipt differently when requested. Is it possible to have the delivery receipt requested by MPE sent only to the phone as it normally would be when requested from the phone? Or for the delivery details to be shown on the phone's sent items as it normally is?
Sorry - this is also a bug of SE's phone-software. Normally you get back a SMS-ID back if you send one. But the phones answers always with the ID 0 - this is also the reason why the received-flag doesn't appear in the phone.

So as I get the phone receives the delivery report and reads the ID and set the sent message as delivered, but it doesn't give the ID to myphoneexplorer?
and the other question is why it doesn't mark the sent message delivered only when the MyPhoneExplorer is connected? is't it because the sent message has the ID 0? maybe you should sent this ID with the sent message to get it back with the delivery and find the related message?

sorry to post as guest I forgot to login after signup, now you may want to send me message
The most phones returns with ID 0 - thjis is the first point. The second thing is: You would have marked messages in MyPhoneExplorer and also marked messages in the phone - but no chance to bring them together - this would make the users confusing.

I think Phone sends a custom ID with the message so when It receives, It can reference it, did you try it?
It can clearly be the cause which the phone itself can not reference delivery reports for the messages sent using MPE because there is no ID
