Connection Failed: Cannot Identify Phone

I cannot connect my Motorola Droid to MPE now that I have a new laptop running Windows 7 64 bit. Had no problem with the same phone on my old laptop running Windows Vista 32 bit.

Here's what I've tried: I've deleted MPE on phone & computer and re-installed; I've downloaded the Motorola drivers but still get the error message
"Connection could not be established: Phone could not be identified".
My log file is below. I posted it at least a month ago in a thread from another user who was having the exact same problem but never received a response for a possible solution.

Help would really be appreciated, especially since I haven't been able to sync in over a month.

Hmm, do not use USB-Hubs and restart your phone.
And also try it throught WiFi.
