Hi,
I'm new to MPE and saw this interesting way of adding holidays.
I'll try to make a file for Belgian holidays based on this example and in there is interest I can publish it here.
One question hower.
I see on the lines some extra coding information like the most complicated one:
May Day - Bank Holiday|1|3105 -1 MO
The first part is clear (the name), but what does the characters after the first | mean?

I made a Belgian file based on the assuption that 1 is an official day off and 0 is not necessarely a day off.
I have to sort out one thing, as Belgium has at least two official languages, Dutch and French, either combine it or make two separate ones.
The file I made for the moment (see below) is for Dutch.
MPE contains now indeed the «holidays» I made and then I synchonized with the K700i.
But in the K700i I see no trace of these «holydays»

Thanks for this info.
I'll look into this.
But I found that in the month view of the K700i appointments are not very well seen. Just a bit in bold. In the week view it's better.
I am also adapting the file now to make it more versatile for the years to come.
So I adapt with the principle of ES for Eastern and the calculation of days + and - for the holidays related to it.
Also I introduced the advent sundays based on calculation from 24/12 backwards, but I have a problem. On 10/12 (SU) there is also «dag der mensenrechten» (day of human rights), but then the «2 advent» entry is not displayed now. So apparently two «holidays» on the same day can't co-exist. I have to find out if the «dag der mensenrechten» is a fixed date in december or something like the second SU in december.
I am playing also with the idea of having a «saints» file. I have such a file for another program (a news reader) so the most important info is there already.
As soon as I have a more versatile holidays file ready, I'll post it here.

Signal level
In Your software better percentage of signal is equal worster signal level in dBm. This is bad.
If You get the Signal Level(S) from phone in range 0-63 (N) than we can write :
S = -110 + N(number from phone) [dBm]
Example:
Number from phone is 27(N=27)
S=-110+27=-83dBm
If You get the Signal Level(S) from phone in range 0-63 (N) than we can write :
S = -110 + N(number from phone) [dBm]

Number from phone is 27(N=27)
S=-110+27=-83dBm

I think there is a small correction needed with regards to St Davids Day... It is always on the 1st march, but the way you have displayed it would make it move about dependant upon Eastrer Sunday.FJ hat geschrieben:Hy, a few days ago i got a english holidayfile (for 2006). Ok, thanks for fast reply. Personally I'd love the auto-feature of these holidays, even if they are only half a year ahead or so. Maybe SE should make calendars, where holidays are holidays and not appointments. :-/
BTW, another problem occurred; when I restored my backup in to the phone, all the links with personalized photos and ringtones are broken. Is this normal behaviour?? (Phone is z520i @ BT)

Besides, in Poland there is no Halloween holiday!
