Hi -- I have a Contacts display order question.
Currently, my contacts' display order is Lastname, Firstname.
If there is a company entry, with a contact's firstname, for example, that contact record is displayed based upon the contact's firstname, rather than the company name.
So, if the company is FJ Software, and my contact is Robert, the phone's sort order would list this entry under Robert, instead of FJ Software.
How do I correct this?
Display As Sort Order

That is how it is being displayed on the phone. I suppose the problem is Android, as it does not know what to do with Outlook's FileAs field, and MyPhoneExplorer is not a magician.FJ hat geschrieben:In MyPhoneExplorer ? Or in the phone ?
Segueing... I am trying to use your app to copy, not sync, Outlook Contacts. I have it configured as a one-way copy, Contacts to Phone. Why would I be prompted to create new contacts on the phone when I tell MyPhoneExplorer PC to sync?
I am sure that I am missing (a lot of) something(s), as this is only the second time I have attempted to use it. Is there a manual? <don't laugh>
The major diffrence between copy and sync is not so big. Copy does just mean that Outlook is always right, otherwise its also a sync (with special priority)
In older Android system (f.e. 1.6) it was possible to save the display name, inbetween the displayname gets always automatically formatted by system rules so its technically not possible

Understood. I already had my Outlook PST mangled once by HTC Sync, so I can live without a sync. I never enter new information into the phone, only at my PC, so I have no reason to sync, other than to get Contacts copied over to the phone.

I am "new" to Android as of CM6 with MDJ, being used to WM, so while I am aging, I am a relative n00bie to Android, but not to WM or PCs.
Will need to play a bit more, aggravating my wife in the process. It's a good sport!
