Dialing Rules - Location Settings Win7

Beitrag von crebo »

First and foremost, excellent work with MPE! Beats all standard synch programs from the various phone manufactures.

I'm using MPE with a HTC legend and a LG optimus 2x. Synch with Outlook 2003 works like a charm...but after having conducted a synch, it seems that MPE changes the Win7 Dialing Rules \ Location Settings by altering the area code to "0000". I'm in Denmark where area codes are not applicable.

This means that after the first synch with MPE, all new contacts created in Outlook will have an area code of "0000" added between the contry prefix and the actual phonenumber, rendering the phone number invalid.

Would appreciate this to be fixed in the next version of MPE, if possible.

Thanks
FJ

Yes, MyPhoneExplorer sets this dialing rule as a workaround that Outlook is able to parse phonenumbers correctly. For you it seems the workaround did not fix the problem - it did generate the problem.

I'll take a look at this
