Backup/Restore funtion

Hello,

I have a k500i that I need to sent for repair but I want to clean/reset it before I do so.
I don't want to lose my inbox/sent sms's and my contacts, my question is, if I do a backup of my phone and then a restore will my inbox sms's, my sent sms's and my contacts be placed in the original places? Or isn't possible to import the inbox and sent folders?

Its possible to restore your contacts and messages - with one issue: Sent messages will loose their timestamp that means they are unsorted in your phone after restoring the backup

This sent messages aren't a problem for me.
Can you confirm me that on Received messages the timestamp will be restore as the original?
