Hi there, Thanks a lot for this working easely software !!! I have just 2 little problems!
1. In outlook you can fill in the birthday of your contacts, outlook will remember it for you every year again on that date! But by the sync with myphoneexplorer he does sync these birtdays every time again and again! That cost a lot of time and I can't tell MPE not to sync that again (like orther things by the contacts)? Do you know this and can I do something to skip this?
2. I tryed a view times to send you a little money by paypal but its not reacting. (so far I can see) So maby you recieved 5 times my money or nothing! I would like to pay, so do you know of this (maby problem with the paypal link, because I've payed also other things without any problems!!!
I use MS office outlook 2003 (11.8010.8107) Sp 2. Part off MS prof edition 2003.
Never have any problems, and the rest of the sync works very well. It only takes place by montly or Yearly repeat appointments or birthdays! MPE asked every time a ok for this specific things.
(In my contacts I have a lot of extra info for relatives/clients in details, automaticly outlook reminds me of their Birtd. Very handy to help my brains )
Only to be sure that i understand you right:
- you have many contacts with birthdays in Outlook
- Outlook created for every contact an appointment which reminds you the birthday
- this is all OK, but you dont want to add this events on sync to the phone
I planned to add a category-filter for the sync - same thing as for contacts. That would signify that you have to add a category (f.e. "nosync") to all events you don't want have on the phone. Would this be helpfully ?
It seems like that mpe keeps on sync recurring events. (not only birthday but every repeating event in outlook). All the other appointments and contact only sync when they are new or changed!
Will that help to explane?
The filter would be a nice extra but doesn't solve this problem.

I have the same problem, with the recurring events. After I sync all the calendar events (with the option "Use from Outlook"), if I try to sync again, all the events are synced again.
I assume that somehow something changes in Outlook, because it syncs the events even if I check the option "Compare only changed events (faster)".
I have even tried to remove all my events, and I still find some events to remove at first sync. Could it be that the phone regards also the birthdays from my contacts? (I have a SE K800).
Please follow this instructions:
• Start-Run-myphoneexplorer debug-OK
• Sync your organizer
• In the confirmationwindow you should see now a button named "Compare". Click on this button, make a screenshot of the upcoming message and send the scr5eenshot to me or upload it on imageshack.

The screen you sent me was not helpfully cause the messagebox was not able to show all data. i made it now a littlebit better - also the reason why MyPhoneExplorer detects the entry as diffrent is shown now. Please download the current beta, reproduce it again and send me the screen or the Text of the Debug-Compare-Window.
