Hello, I have problem with MPE Client (version 1.0.7) installed on Samsung GT-S5830 Ace with Android 2.2.1 Froyo.XWKAD.
When BlueTooth is active, connected or not with PC and MPE client go down manually or automatically (after 15 min inactivity) phone estremely slow down and must be restarted.
Client was uninstalled and installed again without effect.
If wi-fi connection is in use, there are no problems.

MPE client BT problem (Samsung Ace Android 2.2.1)
There is a workaround
I have a Samsung Galaxy Gio and have the same problem.
From the german thread http://www.fjsoft.at/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12410 I found out that if bluetooth is disabled, the phone does not hang when the client is closed.
In that thread there is speculation about the syncing with MPE in the PC. The PC applications has nothing to do with it: turn on the phone client, do nothing, no connection to PC, no sync or anything, and turn it off again (with BT on) and it becomes unresponsive.
If BT is turned off before closing the client, everything is fine!
So, I see a couple of possibilities:
Add an option to the client that makes it not auto-close after 15 minutes. (Why does it need to auto-close anyways?)
or
Add an option to the client that turns off Bluetooth before it closes. Maybe with a reminder to the user to turn BT on again afterwards?
But anyways: the problems seems to be with the BT stack in several Samsung phones, right? But shouldn't the client be able to turn off BT, then quit whatever link it has with the stack (the same way it would exit if BT was turned off manually beforehand) and then turn BT on again, before it closes itself?

This is no option, the app needs power and holds some hardware on the phone activeAdd an option to the client that makes it not auto-close after 15 minutes. (Why does it need to auto-close anyways?)
This would be a possibility, but i don't know which firmwares and models are affected. And its also not possible to "detect" this bug inside the app.Add an option to the client that turns off Bluetooth before it closes. Maybe with a reminder to the user to turn BT on again afterwards?
Its not pretty but it would work. But as i said, i don't know exactly which phones are affected and i will not implement this "hack" for all phonesBut shouldn't the client be able to turn off BT, then quit whatever link it has with the stack (the same way it would exit if BT was turned off manually beforehand) and then turn BT on again, before it closes itself?
Thanks for considering my proposals!
My thought was that this "hack" should be an user selectable option, somewhere under an "advanced" part of the settings...
I sent a message to Samsung support with links to your site and these threads in the forum, stressing that it is not a bug in the third party sw since it works well on other phones. I got a reply that they had forwarded the message to the relevant department...
BTW, this is not the only shortcoming of this Galaxy family: I have two different WiFi routers; the phone can connect to my main router, but doesn't "reach" the internet, and can only sometimes connect to the other one and access internet. Same for both Gio and Mini, but both SE X10 Mini and Mini Pro works well...
