I've read every thread on this in the forum, and have made sure that I had everything set up correctly, but I continue to receive the message that the PC cannot connect with the phone. The phone does say it is waiting for a connection, and I assume that means it's waiting to connect to the PC instance of MPE.
I do have a good wifi connection and can get out on the net just fine, so it's not a matter of wifi not being up at the phone.
This is a home router environment, so everything is connecting to the same group, no firewall in place, etc. All of the PC's in the house can see each other and map shared drives with no difficulties.
Thanks for any help.

You should press the "connect" button on your PC, did you do this?
did you install AND START the app on your android phone?
Maybe double check the FAQ!

Have you tried the Android Guide and FAQ for MyPhoneExplorer?
I did press connect on the PC - that is how one gets the error that it cannot connect to the phone. Yes - I did start the app on the phone first.StefanGaller hat geschrieben:You should press the "connect" button on your PC, did you do this?

<EDIT>
I just rooted my Captivate and now wifi works as it should. It was a weird problem - I could get out to the internet, I had an IP address from my router, but I could not ping either way. After the process of rooting, all is working fine and I was able to sync with Outlook via wifi - though I did have to select Autodetect to get that to work.
