Last week I downloaded MPE to my PC and phone and was able to successfully sync Contacts and Calendar with my phone. When I tried to update my info this week, I cannot connect. My phone & PC details and the first bit of my log file are below.
Motorola Atrix MB860, running Android 2.2.1; MPE ver 1.0.7
Trying to connect using Wifi
Windows 7 64bit PC running MPE 1.8.1

this might be kind of silly, but did you click "connect"?
Have you tried the Android Guide and FAQ for MyPhoneExplorer?

addl info
Yes, I pushed connect. And I enabled USB debugging - although it wasn't enabled last week when I was able to connect and sync. I've rebooted both devices, tried many different combinations of the order in which I open the apps and when I push Connect. I also tried to connecting by entering my phone's IP address (the Fixed IP-address option).
I appreciate your help!

you dont need to enable USB Debugging when you're using Wifi (only for usb)!
I think you might wanna try connecting via usb. If you want to make it work over WIFI, you should post the debug logs (or send them to FJ).

USB
I started to try to connect using USB, which is why I turned the debugging on - per the instructions. But it wasn't working either, so I gave up. I don't remember how far I got as I've tried so many different things over the past few days. I was hoping there was a quick and easy answer for WiFi as that is the method I prefer. If not, I'll attempt USB again. Thanks

Hi EmilyF,
two tips to look for:
- Did you change something on your PC's personal firewall?
MyPhoneExplorer communicates over TCP/IP by three different ports (TCP and UDP). Can you try to temporary disable windows firewall (or other) to see whether this would take affect?
- Which WLAN router do you use?
Some routers (i.e. AVM Fritz!Box) do have options to disallow WLAN devices to communicate together.
best regards...

Bluetooth worked
Decided to try Bluetooth next, and that is working so far. Thanks for everyone's replies.
