Contact data on phone grows to enormous size

I just began using MPE 1.8.1 and since the contact data base on the phone grows to enormous sizes (> 180MB) even though MPE indicates there is only about 2MB of data downloaded. At the same time, it seems the app "Connect to PC" continues to run, takes most of the processor time, and it is almost impossible to use the phone. I have to remove the battery to reboot the phone to regain control. Using MPE 1.8.1, Win7-64 bit, Outlook 2010, HTC Evo, Android 2.2, MPE client 1.0.7.

How much contacts you have saved in your phone ? And how many got added throught sync with MyPhoneExplorer ?

There were about 620 contacts before and after the sync.

Sounds like the Facebook/contacts bug. See...

The link in spile's post is exactly the problem I am experiencing. I have turned off contact syncing for Facebook and Google and will see what happens. This is not an MPE problem.
