HTC Wildfire on USB - Connection error

Beitrag von JFBerlemont »

Hello,

this is to report an ennoying bug.

For some reason, I do not understand, during a sync of the contacts between Outlook 2007 and my HTC Wildfire, via USB cable, the connection is lost.
When this happens, for every items being synchronized, the error window mentionning that the phone is not connected pops up. You need to click OK to continue, but this comes back, again, and again, for every items ... which means that the only way out is the task manager, and killing of the My Phone explorer.

Probably a bug you may want to fix, so that, in case of interruption of the link, it is possible to reconnect automatically, and continue ...

I have some other comments to make on your software, in order to improve/fix some issues. I will post them in other topics. But so far, this is the best looking package to synchronize with my HTC phone, by far superior to HTC Sync itself, which is really crap.

Once all the details with HTC phones will be fixed, I will be happy to donate to support you, but first, it needs to be operational for me.

Keep to good job.

Hello,

Please check in settings of the MPE client on the phone if you have enabled the option to prevent stand-by. For my X10i when it enters stand-by the connection is lost.

Me too when first installed on both phone and pc it connected and synced/download my data.
But I have been unable to connect since, after multiple uninstalls/reinstalls and reboot on both devices.

I don't like double posts. Your problems will be handled with low priority if you do this.

How you want to connect ? USB or WiFi ?

if you were referring to me double posting then sorry but I only did that to let the others know they are not alone as not everybody reads EVERY post. I have not made a post myself about this as the others have made their posts and I was just posting in THEIR post instead of making yet another thread about connection problems, so just added a note in theirs to let them know they are not the only ones as that can help stop a lot of frustration knowing you're not the only one. Anyway I'm connection through USB like the original poster of this thread.

Which errormessage do you get ? Did you check the USB-Debugging-Setting and the ADB-Drivers ?
