MPE does not recognize Samsung Fascinate

Running Windows 7 via VMWare Fusion and for months, now, I have been trying different installs/updates of MPE and still cannot get the desktop MPE to recognize that my Samsung Fascinate is connected. I am increasing desperate to sync my Outlook 2007 calendar/contacts with the Fascinate, but don't want to go the Google route (and am a more than f/t student so cannot afford to bring in tech support to set everything up for me).

Help/advice/other?

How do you want to connect ? USB or WiFi ?

Preferably USB, but Wifi might be doable if that would resolve the problem.

Will MPE work with the Samsung Mesmerize (SCH-i500)? I do not see it on th elist of supported phones but was hoping it may.

The Samsung Mesmerize is based on Android, so it should work
