how to merge contact entries during a sync?

Hope it is okay to write in english here ... I understand german, just much better in english

I am using the latest MPE 1.6.7 with an SE W850, synchronising with Windows Contacts (Vista) and Google Calendar.

I would love to switch over from Windows Contacts to Google Contacts, but would need a more sophisticated user interrface so that the "similar" entries could be merged instead of overwritten. The problem with the current UI is that one can only choose if the Google Contact entry get written on the mobile or vice verse. In my case, I have only email addresses in my Google Contact and mostly only the phone numbers on the mobile, so I would lose one or the other - not good

Would it make sense to extend the conflict resolver and include per field resolution (like with MS Outlook)?

Merging the fields of a single entry during sync is not planned.

I have started to use MPE 1.8.0 with SE K750, for a trial....

I have noticed one unpleasant situation during the sync. When offering resolution for certain contact (to choose to keep the data from phone, or from outlook) just few basic lines are shown in the preview window, and not whole details. In my case, I have changed the info of contact, and I can not see that change it the preview window. Meaning I have the preview of same data on both sides -no changes visible.

If there is no room for all data about the contact, why dont you show changes ONLY? It would be more convenient than this...

Sorry, my mistake, it does change changes fairly.
But previous question remains, about the preview display...
