MPE rooted

Hello,
I'm using MPE on HTC Wildfire (rooted).

Is it possible to start the android phone client as "root", so I can browse "/data" and other protected folders? (now they are simply empty for MPE)

On the phone, I'm using "root explorer" but it could be interesting using MPE to browse ALL folder from PC, too.

Currently i did not research for the possibilities with rootet phones cause i think the most users does not root their phones
