Default connection type

I wish to use the USB connection for connecting my HTC Desire Android phone.
On the phone do I use the HTC Sync connection setting?

You can connect via USB or WLAN.
In the settings of MyPhoneExplorer you can set the default type of connection or automatic.
In the phone you can select the default connection too, if an USB cable is plugged in.
In most cases of HTC devices you can select "HTC Sync" if you want to connect to MyPhoneExplorer.
Selecting "HTC Sync" should do the same job as selection "enable USB debugging".

It appears every time I select connection type HTC Sync

It should disappear at the moment you connect to MyPhoneExplorer (F1 or autoconnect at starup).
