Clarification for novice users
I was about to post a similar question, but found this question and response that worked.
However, for the sake of novice users like myself, I'd like to add a bit of clarity to the instructions.
The file "settings.dat" is located in:
C:\Documents and Settings\%USER%\Application Data\MyPhoneExplorer\%YourPhoneID%
(replace %USER% and %YourPhoneID% with the appropriate values)
Add a new line right under the first headline, so the resulting file looks something like this (first few lines):
[Main]
LastWiFiIP=192.168.1.20
ProfileData=0504067F1F...<stuff removed for clarity>
AndroidVersion=7
IsAndroid=1
ConnectionMode=1
Port=999
Baud=115200
CountryCode=1
... etc.
Currently the application appears to be querying Windows for an IP address. It would be nice to be able to query the user directly if the Windows query was unsuccessful, or simply to override it.
