Saving extension number in MPE

My phone recognizes "," as a pause in the number. I use it to dial the extension number automaticly.
MPE removes this symbol when it syncs with my phone.
What symbol could i use for this purpose?
I have a Garmin A50

Thanks for information, i'll test this. What about "p" ? This char will be not removed cause it was the pause-symbol for SE-Phones

My Garmin A50 does not recognize "p" as a pause.
I will try different characters to see if anything else is recognizable by this phone.

Could this be a problem for outlook instead of MPE?.....
I will try again and let you know

I'll check the ,-character on my X10. If this is the pause-character for android in general then i'll fix the problem in MPE

After some testing on my part,
I've realized that the sync problem for the characters used to seperate the extension number is an OUTLOOK problem.
I synchronized my phone book without Outlook and everything was fine.
