Private appointments handling, Outlook and Google cal sync

Hi FJ,

First of all, thanks for this long-awaited soft for the Android users (I'm using a SE X10i).

Here is my scenario: I use Google for my private appointments, and Outlook for my work (no choice). I already sync my private appointments with my phone over the air with Google.

I would like to sync my work appoint. with my phone as well (through USB), and I would be happy to have my private ones in my Outlook cal, BUT flagged as 'private'.

Could you envisage an option so that all events syncing back to Outlook (and not originating from it) would be flagged as private?

That would make this app awesome!!

If you set in the Exceptions-Window for Outlook a filter to add only private Items from outlook then new items from phone will be also marked private in Outlook.

OK, but then I would only had my private Outlook appointments in my phone, wouldn't I? But not my work Outlook appointments.

What I would like is to have both my private (Google) and work (Outlook) events in my phone, and these private events flagged as 'private' in Outlook when synced back from phone/MPE to Outlook (I'm sharing my Outlook calendar with colleagues).

Yes, thats right. And this behaviour is OK for the most cases. i don't want to make seperate setting for every tiny little detail.

So, according to your first post in this thread, you already have the code that makes that:

Could you please envisage a simple (I know everything is simple when you don't develop yourself ) checkbox to force this behaviour, whatever the MPE Outlook filter settings is?

I am quite sure it would be appreciated by a lot of MPE users.

Hi,

Friedrick have a good point. I have exactly the same request. The ability to sync calendar items marked private in the phone/gmail calendar so that they still are private in Outlook. And also if I mark the item as to show me available that should also sync to Outlook as available.

Basically to keep the settings from the items synced in both systems.

The program is great, and I have missed it since going Android, but that would raise the usability even more.
