Which of the following 4 usb modes should I select when connecting my Samsung Galaxy S phone?
  • * Samsung Kies
    * Media player
    * Mass storage
    * PC Internet

Use "Mass storage" and more important is that you have to enable USB Debugging. Go to Set­tings – Appli­ca­tions – Devel­op­ment and turn on USB debugging.

@madu: Basicly you are right, but notice that MyPhoneExplorer has no access to your SD-Card if you choose "Mass storage"

Which setting should be chosen to have access to the SD?

Sorry, i have no Samsung. I think every setting is OK if the SD-Card does not appear in Windows as removable drive.
