A couple of times recently, since installing 1.7.6 on Windows XP Pro SP3, my pointer has changed almost permanently to a move type pointer (a sort of + sign with 4 arrow heads). The move pointer no longer changes, for example to the edge stretching pointers, or text selection pointers, so some windows operations become tricky. One or two applications (GIMP, MPE) can temporarily remap a suitable pointer, but most can't. I have found no way to restore normal pointer functions, except to log out of Windows.
The last time it happened I it was after using MPE to edit view messages and call logs and edit contact. As soon as I left MPE I noticed the "stuck" pointer. I wonder if MPE 1.7.6 could be causing the problem?

Can't reproduce
I tried doing the usual things again several times, but hasn't happened when I try to provoke it so I can't confirm whether MPE is really involved. Problem only seemed to occur since MPE 1.7.6 but that could be coincidence. Has only happened 2-3 times, & only on one of the three PCs I use. If there are no other reports then it is probably caused by something else.
