SMS sync went wrong

Hey guys,

I've successfully synced my W595 phone with my computer, it dowloaded all the contacts, sms -s, etc. I updated the phone via SEUS. After that i 've managed to upload the contacts back without problem, but when i clicked on sync smss, it warned me that all sms going to be deleted because non of them could be found on the phone. I know i should have check the "archive them" box, but unfortunately i didnt. I thought if i close this warning with the X, i can export the sms -s to a html file, or whatever, to make sure its saved. Then the surprise: all sms have been deleted.

I've tried to undelete Sms*.dat files, but no luck on finding them.

Any solution?

The messages are lost.
When you download the messages then this is not a sync - the button is called "Refresh view" and not "Sync". Did you make a backup before you flashes your phone (Extras-Create backup) ?

It will not help in your case, but for the next update this X-Button in the message will be disabled.

I didn't make any backups :\

Btw when i clicked on the "refresh view" button, and it downloaded the messages from the phone, where were they stored at? In which file? I thought they were stored in a SMS.dat or something like that, so i tried to undelete it, but an undelete program couldn't find it.

The filename for the messages is SMS.dat - its saved in %appdata%\MyPhoneExplorer\<profile folder>\SMS.dat
I don't think you are able to recover this file cause the most recovery-tools search for common filetypes like jpg or similar
