Hello to all impatient Mozilla-fans!

The long-expected update of the plugin can be downloaded from:

Release Notes:

- supports Thunderbird 3.0 / Lightning 1.0beta

- requires at least Thunderbird 2.0 / Lightning/Sunbird 0.9

- Lightning 1.0 supports multiple alarms per event; when synchronising with MPE only the first one is used and the other ones are deleted, so be careful!!

- alarms set to an absolute date aren't supported yet.

- due to severe changes in the Thunderbird GUI you will see multiple MPE-buttons when customizing Thunderbird; I can't change this as long as I still support Thunderbird 2.0.

- Due to the new mozilla plugin security updates of the plugin will be distributed via my website.

Happy New Year 2010 !

I have some trouble but it seems it's impossible to delete data in address book from MPE.

I should delete this data in the address book directly in ThunderBird 3.

I use TB3, Lightning available here (http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/ ... omm-1.9.1/) and the extension from the first post. My celllphone is a SE C510.

The new version of MPE extension (1.0.10) allow to change data in TB3 addresss book FROM MPE now.

Hi,

I have found one issue with new plugin.

Some fields are shortened when read from TB addressbook (specifically address field to 25 characters and organization field to 30 characters). I can have longer data both in TB addressbook and in C510 addressbook but MPE keeps offering me to synchronize these items and shows that in TB addressbook corresponding data are only 25 respectively 30 characters long.

Its not an issue of MyPhoneExplorer or the Addon. The fields in the phone are limited.

Maybe I did not describe clearly.

In Thunderbird there is item with address field e.g. 28 characters long. In phone (C510) there is the same item with address field trimmed to first 25 characters.

When I synchronize addressbook, MPE displays "confirmation for sync" dialog where it says about that item:

Entry in phone - 28 characters (it is wrong, should be 25)
Entry in Thunderbird - 25 characters (it is also wrong, should be 28)

I did not notice such behavior before (with Thunderbird 2) and would prefer if such items were skipped in sync because actually they are "the same".

Under Windows Vista, MPE 1.7.4 and with a Sony Ericsson w660i, I obtain an error message (in French) that tells it's impossible to synchronize the adress contacts or the agenda of Thunderbird 3 / Lightning 1.0b1.
The same happened with the old mpe addin.
