Hi there,
I have a been using MyPhoneExplorer for over a year now, and I had no problems with my SE K750i on both XP and Vista.
The problem came when I switched to Windows 7 Professional. MyPhoneExplorer could no longer recognise my K750i. It did attempt the connect, but it just didn't recognise the phone when it did before. I tried connecting on another computer running Vista and it works fine, so the problem probably shouldn't be with the phone.
I connect using a USB cable, and I read about the peculiarities with K750 and USB, but considering that it worked before and I'm not using the Media Center Edition, this might be a new problem in Windows 7.
Thank you!
Windows 7 - Do Not Recognise K750i
Did you install the drivers? And if so, which one? You could also try grisu's driver package.
If they are installation was okay, in the phone manager you should see the phone as a modem entry.

Drivers
Hi weinbi,
Cann't remember what drivers I originally installed. I just tried grisu's driver package but no good, still have the "Phone could not be identified" error. Tried restarting the computer as well.
Didn't see the modem entry after upgrading to Windows 7 though. Any ideas?
Thanks for the speedy response!

Thats bad. You can get the drivers for the K750i also seperate from SE: http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/support ... vers/k750iDidn't see the modem entry after upgrading to Windows 7 though.
Try to install them in compatibility-mode. You could also use a Win7-compatible Bluetooth-Stick. in this case you don't need drivers for your phone.
I know this isn't very helpful, but when I did a fresh install on a new drive of Windows 7 Premium - before I installed MPE, I plugged my K750i into a front panel usb using the supplied usb lead.weinbi hat geschrieben:Did you install the drivers? The phone was immediately recognised, and much to my astonishment, Windows 7 nipped onto the web, fetched and installed the drivers, and except for a one hiccup, when I installed MPE everything worked fine.
Wish I'd had that with XP.
I haven't tried blue tooth. Yet.
