archive failure

hi, im using MPE from over an year or so, yday wen i opened it, i noticed all the msgs which wer from past 2 months are missing from the archive.. i don kno the reason, but i want those messages badly, is there any way i can get them back??!! any file recovery suggestion will also do...

In between its absolutly impossible that messages gets lost without errormessage.

Maybe they are just in another position (sent messages have no timestamp so they are not sorted in the list).
Which Version of MyPhoneExplorer did you use ?

im using the latest version... the time stamp will be there in archive , i mean wen u copy msgs from ur mobile to archieve, it will take tat time as the time stamp,.. mines a w810i so it can store only 200msgs, so its not there in the phone, and not in archieve too... i hav around 37000 msgs now, i had some 42000 msgs b4 that crash orrured!!

42000 messages ? Are you crazy ? What you wanted to do with 42000 messages ?

I have tested the archive on a fast PC up to 35000 messages - and it makes the program really slow. Did you made any backup ?

ya, i backed it up last month.. i hav that 37k msgs in that backup!! remaining i don hav.. tats the actual prob, somehow this sw rolled back one month, and i lost all msgs after that backup!.. so there is no way huh?? and believe me i hav a fast machine, it doesnt bcome slow on mine

The writing of the file is one single line of code. if there is a error in the program then it will fail - without saving any content. Its basicly not possible that MPE did wrote the "half" file.

Did you run any backup-services maybe Norton Ghost which could overwrite the current file with an old one ?

If you have no backup then i'm afraid that the messages will be lost.

actually it din write half file, that backup was taken a month ago.. i don hav any new backups.. then i think i cant retrieve it...
