When I do a full sync with my Google Calendar[S], there are a couple of items that ALWAYS turn up unsynced.
The times of these items are shown OK in Google Calendar, but MyPhoneExplorer keeps showing them with -8hrs diff. (that between Australia & Holland).
Hence, consistently, whenever I add an appointment from mobile to Google via syncing, Google shows the time correctly, but when syncing again, MyPhoneExplorer thinks the time on the item in Google is 8hrs earlier.
I have set my individual calendars to Europe/Amsterdam (GMT +1/now +2 for DLS)
I have set 'current location' in Google to Australia/Sydney (GMT +10)
I tried to set my phone to both GMT +10 and GMT +2, but none of these two change the outcome in MyPhoneExplorer.

Secondly, is there a way to get rid of the message that I have to sync every time I exit??
---
And last, does the latest version address issues with keyboard handling in the lists (contacts list, sms boxes etc.)? Lots of times I wasn't able to use (shift+) up/down arrows, ctrl+a etc. inside such lists, then all of a sudden it started working again (focus problem?)
Syncing Google Calendar & Time Zones, Sync msg on close
Check out the GMT-Settings of your Google-Calendar. There exists a seperate GMT-Setting for each Google-Calendar
The message is only shown if there are unsynced items in MyPhoneExplorer.Secondly, is there a way to get rid of the message that I have to sync every time I exit??
Yes, maybe a focus-problem. Can you reproduce it ?And last, does the latest version address issues with keyboard handling in the lists (contacts list, sms boxes etc.)? I know, I was already describing those above ("I have set my individual calendars to Europe/Amsterdam"). If I put those to Canberra's time zone, then all original items are f*cked. I just don't really get how MyPhoneExplorer checks the time zone, especially as Google Calendar presents newly added items via MyPhoneExplorer in the right way, whereas when it comes back to MPE to check/resync, the times are off...FJ hat geschrieben:Check out the GMT-Settings of your Google-Calendar. Well, no, that's not always the case. If I synced everything I changed, the screen still pops up quite some times (in 1.7.3 and v1.7.4)FJ hat geschrieben:The message is only shown if there are unsynced items in MyPhoneExplorer.Secondly, is there a way to get rid of the message that I have to sync every time I exit??
For now, not yet, it seems very random. But I'll keep you updated. I've experienced it several times after fetching the SMS Inbox, that's for sure. Then the problem was also present in the contacts list.FJ hat geschrieben:Yes, maybe a focus-problem. MyPhoneExplorer does no calculate timezones for Google - the data comes without timezone.
I don't think so: Please take a look at the edited/deleted/new flags of Contacts, Calendar, Tasks and Notes if you think the message should not appear.Well, no, that's not always the case. If I synced everything I changed, the screen still pops up quite some times (in 1.7.3 and v1.7.4)
To be more specific, I think the following is going on:
So... Should I set all the Google calendars to Canberra time, tighten up the mobile's calendar settings so that it doesn't sync with any items any more of before the time I got here and then set everything back again as soon as I get in Holland? That's a bit xxx up, as if I'm going to travel a lot I have to set all my calendars individually to that time?
---
- MyPhoneExplorer sends the entries I made in my phone to Google Calendar with the local - Australian - times (I don't know if it sends a timezone attribute with it as well, but that doesn't really matter)
- IF MyPhoneExplorer doesn't send the time zone attribute: Google receives the entry and says "alrighty then, you've got your 'current time zone' set to Sydney, but those calendars of yours are Dutchies, I'll convert the buggers to Dutch times, so they show up nicely in your current time zone"
- Now when MyPhoneExplorer receives the entries back from Google (hence adjusted), I think it gets them in pure Dutch time (hence -8hrs).

Should I set all the Google calendars to Canberra time, tighten up the mobile's calendar settings so that it doesn't sync with any items any more of before the time I got here and then set everything back again as soon as I get in Holland? There were some 'ghost' items (double entries actually) that were constantly in the sync logs. Maybe corrupt database on the phone? Anywayz, I know what to look for now, if it happens again.I don't think so: Please take a look at the edited/deleted/new flags of Contacts, Calendar, Tasks and Notes if you think the message should not appear.Well, no, that's not always the case. Really sorry to bother you with this, but could you please instruct me on what I should do?
I found out actually that when I now insert an item in a Google Calendar that's set to time zone GMT+1, the item gets its own timezone attribute in the ics:
