Ctrl+A does not always work correctly

There are times when pressing Ctrl+A when any of the Messages list windows are displayed selects all entries but does not enable the toolbar buttons.

Example: Click Sent items to display the Sent items list. Press Ctrl+A. All entries are shown selected, but the relevant toolbar buttons (Delete, Move to Archive, etc.) remain disabled.

Also, if you select only one item in the list, you cannot de-select it without first selecting another item and de-selecting them in reverse order.

Very annoying.
