Outlook2003 Cal SYNC -never sync this entry in future

Beitrag von Hadyn98 »

Hi, I have a C905 and sync its calendar to my work Outlook 2003 calendar.

Whe I have a "conflicting entry", there is an option "never sync this entry in future". What does this option do?

Even if I select this option (usually for items on my phone) , the entry re-appears in the "sync list" the next time I sync, and I have to select that again, so that it isn't deleted from my phone, nor added to my work calendar.

Here is the debug file:
Logdatei MyPhoneExplorer
************************
Programmversion: 1.7.3
nightly vom 29/07/2009 19:49:18
Datum: 20/08/2009

If "never sync this entry in future" is selected then it should not appear again in the sync-list the next time. I have tried it and on my PC it works.

Maybe your Exception-List has grown too much. You can reset the exception-list in the extendet Sync-Options for Outlook - behind the Button "Filter"

Thanks, certainly, if I clear the exception list, then sync again, the list is much longer , so yes it was ignoring some items/exceptions.

How many exceptions do you keep track of?

Perhaps what my problem is, is that the Time Period may not be working?

I see it trying to sync items that are listed in my phone for may 2005.! And I've also see it syncing items from last 2007, even though I selected 1 day in past, 10 days in future.

I've also tried the "only future events" plus 1 day in the past, and it still references items that are months / years in the past.

The buffer is set to 32000 bytes - how many exceptions you had saved ?
Perhaps what my problem is, is that the Time Period may not be working?
Are those events ruled ? If yes: MyPhoneExplorer does not calculate every possible ruledefinition. If a ruled event starts before the sync-range and it ends after the sync-range then it will be synced.

Hi,

sorry its taken so long to come back to this.
What do you mean by ruled? I don't think my events are.

I created 3 single appointments in: 1 in my phone, 1 in outlook, and 1 in my phone explorer , all in the previous week on seperate days, seperate "names".
Then selected TimePeriod->Sync only events in the future, including "1" day before today.
When I did a sync, it wanted to sync all 3 events.

Previously, I have also tried the sync option where you can specify X days in the past and Y days in the future, with the same thing happening.

Cheers,Hadyn

"Ruled" events are "Recurring events" - f.e. birthdays which happens every year.

In your case the items of Phone and MyPhoneExplorer should be synced - but NOT the one which was created in Outlook. I'll try to reproduce it.
