Google Calendar sync - reads all entries

I have noticed something in the 1.7.3 release ...

When I sync to my 3 google calendars, it takes forever ... I sync -60/+180 days and I have checked off the "Compare only changed events".

But it still reads through ALL events every time, 25 at a time, and it takes about 3 minutes to read through all 1100+ entries in my calendar. Those are ALL entries. Not just the ones in my date range.

It used to work with the "Compare only changed events", and take seconds to update a couple changes.

Is there a problem in the new version or is it Google calendar changes? I suppose I could try the old verison again, but I would like to hear of others are experiencing the same thing ...

Thats normal. The specified daterange has nothing to do with the requested entries. This hs technical reason.

Yes - thats the sense of this setting. Why did you check OFF this setting ?

Hi FJ ... first of all ... thanks for a GREAT product. MPE is one of the main reasons why I am sticking to Sony Ericsson phones. Smile

And thank you for supporting it as well. I can tell you that I would still use it if you charged a small fee for the program under a shareware license.

Well ... my problem is that I did not unckeck it. Its been checked all along, but on every sync it reads through ALL the items. Sorry if I wasnt expressing myself clearly enough.

I've tried checking and unchecking.
I've tried reinstalls and experienced the same with two different phones (a T700 and a W810) on two different machines.

I've looked through the debug file but nothing obvious is to see there ...

OK, there are reasons that MPE forces a full download. f.e. when MPE does a full sync (when the whole calendar gets downloaded cause the sync-history is lost) or if you change the settings for Google-Sync. Then its normal that MPE loads ALL appointments. but only once. On the next sync he should download only the changed events.

- run MPE in debug-mode (Start-Run-myphoneexplorer debug-OK)
- ensure that "compare only edited events" is CHECKED
- do a sync
- do a second sync without changes on both sides
- send me the logfile zipped via email

Thank you for the logfile. I found the bug in the new Sync-Algorythm. Please download the current beta. Please note: The first sync you'll do is still a full-sync. The next one should work.

I just downloaded your program a couple hours ago, and I have 13,000 Outlook calender entries and each time I sync it, it has to load all of them. Do I understand it correctly? It takes 20-30 minutes to sync everytime. Too bad, it looks like a good program except that major problem which is a no go for me and anyone with a large database.
