can't back messages from SIM - MyPhoneExplorer V. 1.73

Hi. I just downloaded the latest version and was trying to back up my phone messages. For some strange reason, all my SMS messages (phone) couldn't be backed up by the program. It kept stalling, then shutting down by itself. The others (Events, Notes, Contacts), I managed to back up without any problem.

Would my having over 800 messages in my inbox alone have something to do with the problem?

If MyPhoneExplorer -> then please send me the logfile after the crash via email - you can find it with Start-Run-%appdata\MyPhoneExplorer\Debug.txt-OK

Hi. I tried to follow the instructions you specified to get the log file but my computer says it can't find "%appdata". I've used "\" and "/", and still no results.

I tried backing up my Phone SMS again and MPE keeps shutting itself down. Not the phone.

OK, does the resfreh of messages work in the program (not the backupmanager) ?

It does. Only the backing up of phone messages does not.

OK, i think i jknow where the problem is - it will be fixed with the next update.

What do you suggest I do in the meantime? I would like to back up my messages and MPE is the only program I found so far which has the ability to back up SMS.

Select all messages in the Messagelist of MPE->rightclick->Export as *.sms. You can import those files back into SMS-Archive and from there you can upload them to phone.

Or you wait a few days so i can give you a fixed beta-release
