Can I use my backup when changing phones?

Anyone got experience with that? Can I restore my backup to any SE phone?

I know this SW is meant for SE, any plans of extending that capability to other brands?

There are no plans to support other bands, but you can extract the contacts and appointments and export it into common formats (vCard,iCalendar)
