migrate logs, settings from vista to windows 7

Hi.
I have been using MPE for years now and have a good 2MB of SMS logs, heaps of calendar, phonebook, tweaked settings etc.

I've just got a new computer with windows 7 and was pleased to find MPE still works / connects from a fresh install
great work everyone involved - one big reason I'd never buy a non SE phone

I've tried migrating / copying all the MPE data files from the old computer to the new (in AppData\MyPhoneExplorer\phoneID) and I can see everything fine in MPE.
But when I try to connect my phone I get an "Error:
Phone could not be identified"

I've searched the forums but can't find what I'm doing wrong..

(using K800, datacable, MPE 1.7.2, vista enterprise to Windows7 ultimate RC, latest firmware)

Why don't you use the backup function of mpe?
Extras->Backup

The phone is assigned on Windows7 to another COM-Port. Please use Menu-File-Settings-Search phone

Thanks a lot FJ - it works after that...

Sebbl - I didn't even notice / remember this feature so next time I'll have to!
Would there be anything I've missed by just copying the MPE folder from AppData that I would have got by using Backup?

The callarchive and the programsettings cannot be saved in the backup

Ok good to know that my logic does make some sense after all and I haven't lost anything..
