I apologise now for my ignorance but this is all new to me.

I have just changed from a K810i to a C905. I have managed to sync everything from the K810i but upon trying to connect the C905 i get the message 'could not open com6' - does anyone have any ideas on what this is and how I can get my new phone to connect.

Maybe you are using the wrong COM-Port?

Do you connect by Bluetooth or by USB?
If USB:
Did you install the driver for the C905?
If Bluetooth:
Is the C905 paired with the PC? Is the serial port activated in the bluetooth-software?

And also important -> don't forget the button "Search device" in the settingswindow cause i think that COM6 was linked to your old K800i.
