SMS download crashes MPE

I have a k850i and everytime i try to get the messages from the phone it goes until about 6000 messages

out of 18000 and then everything closes. i have Windows XP

Is there a maximum limit of messages?

Is it possible to change this limit?

Is it possible to transfer in pieces and parts?

Is it possible to select specific messages to save from the computer?

When i created a backup with sms selected and tried to restore it said no sms in file.

everything else connects fine.

I know that there are performance-problems when yu want to download more than 5000 SMS. You can try it with the setting "Stable connection" but it will work slower.

i tried, still crashed.

Can i filter through the messages and select or delete some without doing it from the phone? (my phone is very slow and hard to work with.probably because of all the messages.)

If its not possible to read them out then its also not possible to select/delete them.
