Sync clock via the Internet

Beitrag von unicastbg »

I get the following: Couldn't get atomic clock time! Use local computer time?
I tried on several computers. It works for a while and then it stops.
I have a network connection by that time.
I have W580, Windows XP Pro SP3 and MyPhoneExplorer 1.7.2

Maybe a firewall (or even an AntiVirus software?) blocks MPE when trying to access the internet.

Yes, i think also you have a network-problem. Maybe a firewall blocks MyPhoneExplorer. If you are not able to fix it then you can set "Local PC" as Timeserver in the options so you don't get the errormessage everytime.

No firewall is on the way. The local time is an option but I want to sync in real time and the windows time update is not exactly what i prefer.
What i haven't tried is to change the regional settings of Windows and the language of MyPhoneExplorer. Since this is a problem from previous versions and i haven't found anybody else having the same problem, i think it might have something to do with the local settings.

Usually it is a network problem. Maybe the Windows-firewall blocks it?
Did you also try another timeserver?

I'll recheck, but the firewall service is disabled. No other firewall is installed. The antivirus is nod ver 2.7 which is only antivirus. I'll see if myphoneexplorer opens a port and sends something. Thanks anyway :)
