Problem with restoring backup?

Before formatting my computer, i had created a backup file using MyPhoneExplorer.
Now, I cannot restore that sms archive. Every time i click on the restore sms archive part, the program just shut down automatically with no reason.

Is there anyway that i can fix this ?

Which MyPhoneExplorer-Version you are using ?

I'm using the latest version 1.7

V1.7 is not the latest one, please try it with v1.7.2

Sorry, I made a mistake there. I meant I'm using the 1.7.2 version at the moment.
I've tried to install and uninstall several times but the problem still exist

Does the program crash or does it just "hang" ? How many messages are in the backup ?

Well, the program crashes every time.
There are about over 1000 mess in that archive

OK, very thanks for your trust. I have found the bug and i will fix it for the next update.
Inbetween:
- restore the backupfile with UNCHECKED SMS-Archive
- import the messages throught SMS-Archive->rightclick->IMport->(choose the backupfile)

The result is exactly the same as it would look like with the backupwizzard.

thank you for the solution, even i had trouble restoring my backup.. in my case the backup would only restore the phone book and notes, the sms archive was blanked out and the software didnt crash.. i used the import option from the sms archive menu and it worked!!
