Please help an idiot

Beitrag von Kajsa Arg »

Hi.

When I bought a computer I didn't buy MS Office
for different reasons.

Now it turns out that my mobile phones
SE G900 (nine months old and "dysfunctional"
and a Samsung (the name of which I don't know,
but the colour is Pink Rose...) I bought to replace the SE
while in repair, as well as my old SE Cybershot K800i?)
need Outlook for synchronising.
And it costs about 500 euros to buy an MS Office pack including Outlook.
(I could buy a new computer for that kind of money!)

So I checked to find an alternative for Outlook, and found that someone on a forum had answered a similar question with "www.fjsoft.at/en" (that was all).

Now it says about MyPhoneExplorer 1.7.2 "Adressbook - with direct sync to Outlook, Windows contacts, Thunderbird, GMail, Lotus Notes and Tobit David" of which I know absolutely nothing. We have Lotus Notes at work, but we can't synchronise our private phones to Notes there.
GMail is free, isn't it.

Now, here are my questions:
Is it possible with MyPhoneExplorer 1.7.2 to synchronise my phone(s)
with free (?) mailsystems like GMail and keep my notes and all?
How much does it cost?

Please answer, somebody!
I am absolute s-t with these things!

MyPhoneExplorer has an integrated Contact and Organizermanagment. You don't need Outlook, Lotus or GMail if you don't want to sync your phone with this apps. The sync to this applications is optional, but not a must-setting.

MyPhoneExplorer is basicly compatible with the G900 but please note that you have to install also the PC-Suite (only install, its not needed that you use it) cause its a Symbian-Phone. The K800i works also - even without PC-Suite. Samsung-Phones are in general not supported from MyPhoneExplorer.

for such a quick reply!

However, I still wonder what this marvel of a program costs.
Though I am unwilling to pay 500 euros ("teuro" as I know
people in Austria and Germany sometimes call them) for an Office Pack,
I am not unwilling to pay for good software.
(I cannot myself contribute with programming, being an idiot.)

Thanks again.

I know what Office does cost, but you don't need it.

MyPhoneExplorer is free as free beer. You can use it without pay anything. If you want secure the future development you can send me a voluntary donation (Menu-Extras-Credits...)

Menu-Extras-Credits - WHERE?

(Now you really understand I am an idiot!)

I can only see File Edit View Favourites Tools, and Help.
And on your web page Main Page, Downloads,
Forum, Links, and Guestbook.

Some more clues, please?

Anyway, I'll download the MyPhoneExplorer 1.7.2
and hope for the best!

Not in your internet-browser ;-) , i meant Menu-Extras-Credits in MyPhoneExplorer.

Download and use MyPhoneExplorer - if you have further questions (and i'm sure they'll come ;-) ) then ask. If MyPhoneExplorer works good with your phone then you can think of a donation.
