MPE 1.7.2 has bugs in exporting selected SMS messages.
Bug #1
As indicated by the selected message in the screenshot below, the date and time of the message is 1/21/2008, 16:46. However, when exporting the message, the default file name of the exported SMS changes to a completely different date and time! This is indicated by the red colored ellipse in the second screenshot that follows. I'm guessing the program still retains the date and time stamp of an older message that was exported.
Message selected for export
Export file name defaults to a completely different date and time!
Bug #2
Select several messages for export and save them. Only one of them gets exported (saved)!
Configuration details
- Phone Model: w810i
- Type of connection: USB
- MPE-version: 1.7.2
- OS: WinXP-SP2
These are no bugs.
1) MPE uses always the time of export, not the timestamp of the message for default filename
2) The messages always get exported in one file
Timbuctoo, how about the archive/export uses the sms timestamp?
Personally I'm not interested in when they're archived, but to keep track of the sms timestamp. If there's no timestamp on the sms, it's hard to keep record of when it was sent or recieved.
Thanks
There is really no sense to use a timestamp from the messages you export, cause ther can be many timestamps in the file. I don't think that you save every message as seperate file. I will keep the behavior as it is now.
