Some functions lost in newer version of MPE?

I have had some problems with the newer version of MPE.

In the old version I strongly remember that you were asked during a Sync if you wanted to overwrite the data on the phone or on the computer.

Also I remember that during a sync the Incoming/Outgoing Call lists were transferred to the phone if it was empty. Same thing with the calendar.

I the new version it seems like the only way to do so is to do a Backup in the Functions menu.

Why remove the old functions of overwriting?

As a result (due to bad handling of me not checking the new functions) I lost a lot of information in the - what I thought - was a backup.

I did not remove functions or confiormations.

MPE never had write-access to the call-list on the phone. This is not possible.

Further MPE asks for confirmation only if you are syncing with a third app like Outlook, Google,... . maybe you disabled the notification-window in the settings.
