hHi there, slight problem connecting P1i via usb...

First off i would like to thanks you guys for this great software! (i have used before for k800i)

Having problems connecting my P1i to MPE..

Version: 1.7.2
Phone: P1i
Connection via USB cable

Getting a command, of phone cannot be identified.... try selecting all the COM ports as well

Drivers installed?
SE PC-Suite installed? (For symbian-based phones like the P1, the middleware mRouter is needed, which will be installed with the original PC Suite)

Upon connecting my USB to P1i it installed 3 drivers.

How could i find out which ones they are specifically?
and i would HAVE to install the original PC suite CD?

For all features you have to install the PC-Suite.

But the connection should be also without PC-Suite. The right Port is listed in the settings as "COMx SonyEricsson USB Port". Click on "Search phone" and then post the logfile here

- Go to taskmanager and kill all processes which begin with "eh" (ehShed.exe, ehTray.exe,...).
- Close ActiveSync if you are using it
- if you use your phone as Internetmodem then MPE cannot use it cause the local internethandler does already use it
