Chinese characters on SMS appear as question marks ?????

When I select a SMS message, the window below shows only question marks, whenever there is a chinese character. Letters and numbers show ok.
on Version 1.6 this showed ok, but on 1.70 and above it displays question marks. I don't have v1.6 anymore to see if this is an issue with MPE or with my setup...

i.e, if I have an SMS that reads:

你好吗
it would display:
???

Also, when I send SMS messages from MPE, the recipient gets questio marks... again, letters and numbers are ok.

Is tehre a fix for this?

The textfields are not fully unicode compatible. Thats known and not fixable. But the listview should display them correct.

I'm using MPE 1.71 & it can send chinese sms. FJ have fix the problem for me when I using MPE 1.70.

I still have not try send chinese sms using MPE 1.72
