sony ericsson z750a doesnt connect

Hi,
I tried connecting my z750a but it doesnt allow me to connect. I used phone mode when connecting but I was wondering are there certain drivers that I need to install on my computer for my phone first?? Because my phone works on my computer when I use the file transfer mode so I assumed drivers were not needed.
Where can I get the drivers from? I checked the SE site but they just had the PC suite.

The drivers are included in the PC-Suite, but there exists also a standalone-setup which contains only the drivers.

You have to choose "Phone mode" - NOT "Filetransfer mode"
