Problem with SPAM postings!

You can send private messages after you created 5 posts in the forum and after you were registred here more then 2 days. This prevents Spam.

This is clearly inadequate!

phpBB is notoriously vulnerable to SPAM posted by robot webcrawlers, especially the very old version you are using.

Upgrade to the latest version of phpBB 3.0.4 (Dec 2008). See http://www.phpbb.com/

Please take improved anti-SPAM measures and also please delete the offensive posts.

well, that's an annoying thing, if there are posts with such a content, i agree with that.

i don't know if all posts can be saved when upgrading the board software, but anyway, i also think that FJ should update to the latest version of phpBB and maybe he should get another design :S

but the main thing about an upgrade would be the security manner.

Why is it inadequate ? We are 5 Mods and we check the forum many times in one day. Its simply not possible that a spammer could post 5 postings in two days and we don't see it.

I have implemented many MODs in the forum which will no more work in the new version.
