problem with week view in phone after MPE sync

Hi FJ,

First:
I absolutely love MPE. I have used it with my w890 for some time now and I use everything you got in the software.

My problem:
After I sync my calendar with MPE the calendar function week view gets corrupt in the phone. All events that are stretched over a week shift together with a month shift is not displayed as bars in the week view. But it is only after the week shift and month shift as this problem occurs.
If I use the phone for input, the bars in week view is there until I do a sync, then they disappear after ther first week shift.
I have tried to reset the phone several times but it is the same each time.
It there a fix for this?
I'd love it since I use the week view a lot.

As "Cornwall" suggested in 2007 a week view in MPE would be great.

I am Swedish working in Canada. The use of holidays would be improved if one could have more than one set of holidays loaded at the same time. A small flag could denote that a specific country has a holiday.

Once again, MPE is great.

Cause your problem: never heart about this. Does the problem appear for all appointments in the phone - even the events which were not created throught myphoneexplorer ?

Suggestion 1: It was often suggested, but now i hope i'll find time for it in one of the next updates.

Suggestion 2: I don't think this is needed. If you want you can edit the holidayfile yourself.

Hmm, the problem seems to occur only for the week/month shift Feb-Mar 2009. It is really strange.

For other dates I can not reproduce this error but it is still present for the above dates.
Since it was restricted to just one week/month shift it is a minor problem.

Sorry for posting before testing it for more dates.

I did some testing here last night and the problem is real. First I thought it was only when I updated my firmware and then used and existing user in MPE but after extensive testing it occurs for all kinds of situations.
After a couple of syncs the week view for long appointments is corrupted when there is a week break.

If you want a flow chart of my testing I'd be happy to send it to you.

With the current beta you'll be able to create screenshots of your phone (take a look at Extras->Control phone). please make a screenshot and send it to me, cause i'm not able to reproduce it on my phone.

I'm not sure if i can do something against it cause i cannot control the way how the phone displays events but maybe i find a problematic combination of fields which raises the problem.

I have now tried the whole thing with
MPE
PC Suite (stand alone)
PC Suite with outlook (eventhough I do not use outlook I just tested it)

The good news for MPE is that the problem occurs for all of the above. Hence, it is not a MPE problem.

The bad news is that the problem persists and now it will be even harder to solve. I have been in contact with SE. First they don't answer my e-mail. When I call them and give them my case number they can't figure out who is going to be able to answer my case. After 45 minutes of explaining they finally decided to send my e-mail to the technical branch. We'll see if I ever get a reply.

I guess I just have to live with it if I am going to sync with the computer. Perhaps it goes back to normal with the next firmware release.

Does anyone know how often SE released new firmware for the w890 in the past?
This might give me a clue of when to hook up and look for a new FW.
